Dr. Soumya Billa is a passionate and dedicated pediatrician committed to a holistic approach to care for infants, children, and adolescents. Her calling to medicine began in childhood and has remained the guiding force of her career. Board-certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), she believes that outstanding pediatric care encompasses not only physical health but the mental and emotional well-being of every child.
Dr. Soumya completed her MBBS at Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences in India, her internship at Kakatiya Medical College, and her Pediatric Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. Having cared for children across multiple countries and cultures, she brings a broad and nuanced perspective to every patient encounter.
As a physician trained in functional medicine, she goes beyond symptom management to identify the root causes of illness. Her clinical interests include preventive health, newborn care, developmental health, and community education. She works closely with parents and caregivers at every stage of a child's growth, guided by evidence-based, family-centered, and individualized care.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Soumya enjoys dancing, singing, cooking, and traveling. At home, she cherishes time with her husband and daughter. Fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi. She is delighted to serve the families of the vibrant Dallas community.
