1. What Insurances do you accept ?

We accept most of the Commercial and Medicaid insurance. If you do not see your insurance in the list provided give a call to our office to know more.

2. What are documents that is needed for every office visit ?

We advise to bring your child’s current and valid insurance card (primary & secondary, if applicable) along with parent or guardian’s valid Government issued ID card. Please make sure you provide us with updated information any time there is a change to the insurance. For new patients visiting us for first time please bring the vaccination record or you can send the records to contact@littlestarspeds.com.

3. What is the financial responsibility of parent during office visit ?

Co-payments/deductibles are expected at the time of provision of services. It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to understand what services are/are not covered under your plan. Parents will be responsible for payments if your policy does not cover certain services. If you are not certain about coverage, you may elect to decline these services.

We will file claims to the insurance plan(s) you have provided. If a secondary insurance is there do inform the front desk at the time of visit so we can file accordingly to the secondary insurance.

4. Do you have Credit Card On File ?

Yes, we do have Credit Card On file for your payments if you have any outstanding balances from insurance.

5. What is your No show or Late reschedule policy ?

We send appointment reminders as text message 3 days before, 1 day before and also on the day of appointment If you miss a scheduled appointment without calling to cancel, or you cancel with less than 24 hour notice, it will be marked as “no show”. If you reschedule your appointment within 24 hrs. you will be marked as Late Reschedule You may be required to pay a ‘no show fee or Late reschedule fee ‘ up to $25 per occurrence per patient.

6. What if am running late for my appointment ?

If you think you can not make it on time, we strongly urge you to call and notify the office promptly. We will try to accommodate you if the time allows.

7. What is the policy for completion of paperwork or referrals?

We will sign the sports physical when it was brought to the visit and other forms and referrals will be done in 48 hrs. from the time of visit or request.

8. Do I get same day sick visits ?

Yes we understand that kids get sick quickly and needs attention . Please give us a call for same day sick visit appointments.

9. What is your Medication refill Policy ?

Do call the office 4-5 days prior to running out of medications. Patients must have had a well check in the past 12 months in order for refills to be called in without being seen for an appointment. For ADHD, the child must be seen at least every 3 months if stable. Asthma patients need to be seen every 6 months for refill.

10. What are the uses of Patient Portal ?

You can view your upcoming appointment also you can view if you owe any payment and also pay through portal, you can send and receive secure messages and all portal messages will be viewed on working hours and will be replied on same working day, view clinical summaries or educational material, view your child’s immunization records, request prescription refills, receive test results securely.
